This was wild! Strychnine, dehydration, severe internal injuries from breathing dust while running… wowza.

This has long been one of my favorite pieces of Olympic lore. I’ve always enjoyed the winner being disqualified because he’d actually been in a car for part of the race (yet still posted a worse time than past marathons), but there were a lot of new tidbits in here!
