This is great but it would have to be pretty terrific to get me to replace Plasma.
For me it’s pretty likely to replace it, at least on my laptop. Don’t get me wrong, I love Plasma, but per-screen workspaces and native window tiling are two features I never knew how much I needed before I tried out Hyprland some months back, especially on a single screen. While I’ll definitely miss the desktop panels and extensive settings menu, I’ll give those up for the other features without much of a second thought.
I wonder if I will stay on sway after cosmic releases
Not sure I could stop using a tiling window manager now
Wonder if I will stay on cinnamon(not in linux mint) after cosmic comes out in a stable phase
It’s a lot more stable than September. I switched permanent to it in February and it’s solid. The only reason I’d consider system76 hardware in support of cosmic development
Lets gooo, I have wanted something to replace hyprland for me for a long time. Once they add customizable hotkeys and polish it up I can absolutely see myself daily driving it.
These Linux computers are always scams.
We get worse hardware for higher prices, and they don’t even have to pay for the OS.
You can use Cosmic DE on any device that can run Linux. You do NOT need to purchase System76 laptops for that.
