    This quote from the article says so much about so many of these cuts

    America’s … 50-year run as the global leader of cancer research — may very well be coming to a close, and for no apparent reason. Varmus seemed as puzzled as anyone by the development. “We are great in science,” he said. “Why would we want to destroy one of our greatest assets?”

      Because science (and American Scientists) is inconvenient to him and his narrative. RFK Jr is busy running the CDC into the ground and anything that helps them do that is okay. Yes, even losing our ranking in cancer research.

      All you have to understand is that Trump can’t figure out a way to use cancer research to line his pockets so he doesn’t want anyone to invest time and effort and money into it.

      People who voted for him don’t seem to have realized it yet but this administration is going to be very expensive to the American tax payer. We’re going to be trying to throw money at all the problems he’s causes causing for decades after this.

        Yeah. This is going to be hard to rebuild. It’s easier to destroy and erase than improve rebuild.
