Oh that wouldn’t work for me. Alarms would pop up exactly at the wrong moment (maybe when I’m on the toilet etc) and after dismissing they’re out of sight out of mind. I need something that stays pinned until I can actually actively do it. (And snoozing would drive crazy.)

A part of Dracula (I don’t think you need an ISBN for that 😅) also takes place at sea, but I can recommend the whole book. There is also a movie that focuses on that part, it’s called The Last Voyage of the Demeter, but I haven’t seen it yet. (I just noticed that the ratings aren’t that good…)

Recently I watched The Lighthouse which is quite something… Maybe not exactly what you’re looking for, but definitely dark fantasy.
