WHO IS USING AI TO RESPOND TO EMAILS? Like, by the time to “craft” the ultimate response, you could have just written the email.
This may be my bias as an engineer (not software, but chemical), there’s not really much faffing about in an email. You just politely respond, or politely make a query. It’s not very long, typically, and even if it is, an LLM isn’t gonna help you.
You don’t have to sugar coat anything unless there’s some fuck up you’re trying to soften. You just go “Hi xyz, could you please clarify when the design temperature is changing here?”.
Wtf is there you can use an LLM for in an email?
I have only used it for software troubleshooting, as it’s quite nifty there, even if it’s information is out of date, it gets versions confused, etc, still gets me out of a bind or spits out random ideas to try.
But emails? Those short form messages, just barely longer than texts?
Are we actually serious? It’s not a report
Yeah all g, thanks for engaging with me :)
My complaint is that the warp factor only goes to infinity in the first chart you provided (the old system. i.e. as v –> ∞, fw –> ∞). They changed it from v = fw3*c. So warp 3 was 27c for TOS and ENT: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Warp_factor
Warp 10 being infinite is definitely cannon, just ask the haters what the worst episode of Star Trek Voyager is haha
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threshold_(Star_Trek:_Voyager)
(The headline of this wiki article is a little off, he doesn’t travel “faster” than warp 10, he travels at warp 10)
Your second graph literally says “warp 10 is infinite velocity”, which is the new system. That there are 10 energy thresholds is cool world-building, but basing your velocity scale on it is annoying and unintuitive. When they use these numbers, unless you crack open a calculator, you have no idea how fast it actually is.
In the new system as as v –> ∞, fw –> 10, and I find that annoying.
Whoever changed the warp scale in Star Trek: grumble grumble, warp 9 and warp 9.5 sound barely different.
I dunno about you, but I prefer a scale for velocity where as velocity goes to infinity, so does your scale
The celebrations when Thatcher died we’re very appropriate
I think the original commenter means that Google got off with a tap on the wrist
If I were near the equator: is this a joke I’m too 0° lat to understand?
I absolutely hated it when I first watched, but it grew on me so much that by the end of the series it was by far my most favourite intro. None of the others come anywhere close.
The most recent ones are an absolute snooze fest only good for skipping
It’s not the multiple partners that are a problem in my opinion (You do you. Polyamory is not for me, but no hate), it’s the many-to-one relationships. Even in cases where an immoral power dynamic doesn’t exist, you’re still setting up for societal shenanigans if it’s consistently many women to men, or vice versa, which seems prudent to avoid.
That being said, monogamy in a legal sense has probably only persisted so long because involving more than 2 people would be a massive headache for the courts lol
Probably only works in countries where one “partner” has more rights than others.
The percentages of respondents in surveys on infidelity answering “not a moral issue” from France are a bit of a cultural difference (from Australian perspective, anyway)
🇦🇺 heh, amateurs… But seriously this is ridiculous, and straight up anti-democtatic. Single member first past the post is the worst voting system out there.
Inb4 they make mulit-member electorates winner-take-all (all seats to the party who got the plurality of votes).
This is THE fight USA. In my opinion, your ridiculous voting systems is probably why it’s so easy to suppress you.
This option is reserved for the billionaires
If they keep not complying, which is my understanding of what apple has been doing, they should absolutely be bankrupted. Or something drastic.
A warning, which will make other companies self-Police, bringing down the cost of enforcement.
Countries are so permissive of corporate bad behaviour it’s not even funny.
This went way over my head and I was thinking: the writer’s taken their mask off as a racist??
Didn’t make the colour connection
Good thing it ends up in the hands of the Belters (at least in the TV show)
I so very much disagree on this one. Yes they’ve used AI, but this is a hilarious use of AI.
Would he not have already sold most when they went public?

It is quite upsetting. I agree.
