Metal is too hard to define. Some old folks would say poison is metal. Some would say only Megadeath and Pantera are metal. Some say they’re pop and not metal at all. It’s just not worth arguing in this sector. I grew up in the 90s and enjoy “nü metal” the 80s made shit music as far as I’m concerned and isn’t metal at all. Is the music racist? Then its not metal. There’s a lot of racism in bands that are considered metal. Then you have the ADHD industrial metal. What is metal and what isn’t? Megadeath sucks shit outside of a few songs and are openly embraced by neonazis. It’s honestly a very hipster style, with so many being labeled cool or not cool based on the time at any given moment, and whether or not they fit in.

Quite a bit actually as I’m a history nerd. But, it would come bits and pieces at a time because that’s how my mind works. Even if I sit here thinking about even Americas history, I’ll leave holes in the story, and like a week later, “oh yeah this should have been part of that” so I’d have to write it all down in notes and compile it later to write a book, only then would I be able to teach anybody. Because nobody’s learning much by riding my train of thought.

Recently to me is like 3-4 years. And I have given more bands a little more of a listen that I had originally written off when they got big. Shinedown, in this moment, and ghost were all bands that I had originally written off, but after listening to more, I actually really enjoy.

Beyond that, there’s a French song I’ve been pursuing since I bought gran Turismo 7 that I’ve been dieing to find the artist name, despite it showing on screen whenever it changes, I never think to look, because I’m busy doing something else, I’m just like, “ooh this is that song I love!” And by the time I think to look in the corner, it’s gone.

When I was young there was a thing called power hour, where you had to drink every minute, plus additional drinks for things every minute like a truth or dare game. It would display something like “take a drink if you slept with more than 5 people.” So you’d take a drink for that plus the one that came every minute. It was wildly dangerous but I have a lot of good memories from those times.

Agreed, or a game full of bugs and glitches like FO4. Honestly at this point I kinda hope that another studio has a hand on it to get it moved quicker so that Bethesda can’t Bethesda it up too bad, and stays more true to the feel of older games. While at the same time improving on the combat of FO4. The earlier games were better rpgs, but sucked ass at combat. FO4 was decent at combat but basically wasn’t an rpg at all. I’d like something in between, and feel like a co-development process would help with that as well as expedite the process. That being said, even if that were the case, I still don’t see society lasting long enough for it to come to market. Even if expedited with another studio, were talking 6 years at least. And I just don’t see America lasting that long at this point.

TES 6 will happen. It can’t possibly be more than 2 years away, right? Right? But fallout 5 has no chance of getting finished.

There’s a lot of good TV coming. Peacemaker season 2, fallout season 2, gen v season 2, the boys season 5, Rick and Morty season 8, mortal Kombat movie sequel. Fallout 5 the game was recently put on full development, but I doubt we’ll ever see that, as it’ll take 10-12 years of development, and I honestly don’t believe we have that much time left for a functional society.

Air fryer. Seriously. I can have a ton of frozen foods in stock and eat exactly how much I need or will eat rather quickly. It’s not exactly healthy, but it’s calorie intake. If I didn’t have frozen food I’d be gaunt, or super fat/broke from fast food. The fact that I’m still alive is owed to my kid, my dog and that air fryer.

That the collapse is incoming and ignoring that fact is exacerbating it.

My uncle worked for a publishing company that published all kinds of magazines including guns n ammo, and some other more specific one for mercs though I can’t remember the name. And I’ve met a LOT of those psychos back then. It doesn’t really take much more than an accusation to get them going from 0-100. But yeah my grandparents had money and took us on big, expensive trips about every 6 months. 3x to NYC, 3X fishing trips to Alaska, 2X trips to Norway/Sweden, 2x to London, 1x to Paris, Berlin, new Orleans, Grand canyon, Everglades etc. More than enough for those whackos. Honestly, exposure to those guys is probably a big part in why I joined the army before I grew more as a person and learned empathy.

Edit: as a young kid I remember hearing conversations about things such as “best thing to decapitate someone with” and “funniest death” that’s not who I wanted to be when I joined the army or anything, but I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to save people who couldn’t save themselves, and had delusional ideals that we were the good guys and I could save good people by hurting bad people. It wasn’t about idolizing those people, I knew they were crazy even when I was a kid. Just an explanation that it wasn’t about some fucked up fantasy or something.
