So, now you know he’s getting into grown up stuff. If you punish him now, he will learn to hide these things from you to avoid punishment. Rather, just have a pleasant conversation about it. Be interested, share any related stories you have (if you have any tattoos etc, or maybe something “dumb” that you did at that age) Let him know that he can come to you with these things. That way you get a chance to direct him (next time you want something pierced, let’s find a professional.) instead of it happening in the shadows behind your back.

I didn’t really know anything about him until after I heard he died. And shortly after that, I heard that three kids died in another school shooting.

Some guys have no interest in being anything but the manliest man they can manifest, and maybe I’m wrong, but I think there’s a lot of us who are just waiting for someone to break the ice.

I have a very good friend who started making it a habit to tell me he loves me, and dammit, I’ll say it right back because I do love him like a brother. I don’t love my other friends less, but, that shame that hides in my brain tells me I can’t do that to them.

If there is a point on the spectrum that’s “minimal to no autistic indicators”, then everyone is included.

I think there are a lot of undiagnosed people who are “normal enough to pass” (forgive the term, but it describes the mentality that lets people slip through the cracks) myself possibly being one of them. I think it’s likely that everybody’s a little autistic, but not LITERALLY EVERYONE.
