You should always expect hostility from Linux users, now scram!
Anyway the stack you mentioned is pretty standard fare for Windows -> Linux transitions. If I had any more notes I’d give em, sorry & good luck!
I disagree! The butter greatly enhances the flavor moreso than keeping the jam on. If anything it allows the jam to slide off more easily.
bars n clubs are lit here in the american south
Sometimes things aren’t obvious unless you already have the knowledge. If an AI tool tells a young person cleaning their first apartment to combine household cleaners, are they stupid for doing so? Maybe. They may not have the experience to know. Stupid people deserve to live free from harm too, and we’re all a little stupid.
There’s a balance to be struck.
it’s actually remarkably easy to install and remove if you dont want it. Last time I used asahi it was cool but not ready for daily use. The m3 is a powerful little chip. I’d use that machine as my daily driver laptop whenever I needed it. Can do coding, music stuff, video editing, etc. I can do all that on my m1 pro, even!
alternatively, sit at a coffee shop, put a mech keyboard on top, and type a pretentious manuscript hoping someone will notice how cool u r (:
I have a small site that mirrors hacker news but with dark mode and stuff, and it is getting blasted by bot traffic. All the data is freely available from the official api but they’re scraping my piddling site which runs on an anemic VPS because it looks like user generated content. Bot protection does little to help from my provider. Gonna have to rethink my whole architecture now. Very annoying
if I was talking about Elon I’d have you ready the guillotine instead of putting away torches
For real… we are dealing with an edgy teenager here. Put away the torches people
I have a novice programmer friend who created an app with authentication with AI. It used create-react-app (deprecated for years now) and had him roll his own OAuth layer manually with Express. When you refresh, you get logged out.
It’s an awesome project to learn some skills, but only a seasoned programmer would know to never roll your own auth, or to not use CRA, etc.
We are in for some interesting times.
The Hacker News crowd uses this phrase every other sentence so it was almost humorous to see it used here. I thought this was a shitpost
“Skilled labor” is such a bullshit concept
they’re saying “email” is the plural of “email,” and saying “emails” is like saying “datas” as the plural of “data,” which is weird since “emails” is definitely valid.
god bless
