I find that filtering communities that are irrelevant or not to your interests keeps the feed engaging and poignant. Same with certain users or even instances.
Which instances are the Tankie Triad? lemmy.ml, and two others? Don’t engage in politics with people from those instances, I think

I didn’t know when I signed up. I just had to “pick a server,” so I did.

It doesn’t help that .ml is pretty much the “main” instance where the developers are at. So everyone assumes it’s a good place to start.

Engage frequently and in good faith, understand this place is not populated enough for infinite scrolling, and have a good time.
“All” is a lot of US politics so keep that in mind when venturing away from your subscribed feed. You will frequently see multiple of the same posts in your feed - this isn’t spam, it’s posted to different communities and often different instances, since communities can have the same name but be on different servers.
