    First, the cat would 100% climb up on the table from there. This would be okay for a gaming table, or a table specifically for playing with the cat, but not a dinner table.

    I’ve never once fed my cat my food, from my plate or otherwise. He never begs for food when I’m eating. If you have this problem with your cat, it’s your own damn fault.
