100%! I’m sure you’re not using it but if you have friends/family still on there urge them to quit using Twitter.

It uses a misleading headline saying “car crash injuries” which actually means a similar type of injury you’d get in a car crash but most people would read it thinking that a car crash was somehow involved in the story despite there not being cars anywhere in the story.

I just prepared another company to add to my boycott list.

Why pay money to a company who wants to destroy you? No government should give a dime to Peter Thiel’s Palantir. Thiel is an evil sociopath who may have murdered his boyfriend. He also wants to basically abolish government. A government giving money to Palantir is like a snake eating its own tail.

I sometimes wonder what if everyone who spends money on licensing fees instead takes the same amount of money and puts it into FOSS. Imagine what we could achieve? Likely the money would be used more efficiently because they could donate it to non-profit companies which don’t need to pay tax.

I’m very happy they got the wage increases but I hope that if Trump is still president in 2028 that people boycott the Olympics. Make the stadiums empty and don’t send any international teams to compete. Visitors risk arbitrary detainment and harassment despite innocence. We must not repeat the 1936 Olympics.

This is very chilling because it means websites will delete content. If the internet archive didn’t grab it in time it means knowledge is gone forever. An algorithm is not going to always be accurate in determining what is helpful.

If for some reason you or anyone you know is still using Twitter now is the time to take advantage of the outage and urge people to leave Twitter permanently. Tell your friends about alternatives to Twitter such as Bluesky and Mastodon.
