There actually isn’t. Uber is responsible for their contractors and are liable when they fuck up. As they are the ones who hired them.

It only takes one right person to be bummed out to start a cascade effect that might create meaningful change. Never murder hope before it has a chance to even be born. Even if that means being a “bummer”.

Native ports almost always have problems. It’s a big reason there’s such a large group that just say to use proton instead of wasting time on a native port.

Which both sucks cause having a good native port is rad. But also honestly the most realistic way to avoid these kinds of problems.

Not to mention that the native version is likely to be unplayable or perform much worse then it does now in a few short years because of changes to dependencies. Or quirks between distros.

Linux is a nightmare for native gaming long term.

The fact it’s interconnected makes it easy to just worm your way though banning everything.

Doesn’t matter if it’s all independently hosted. The greatest strength of the frediverse is the fact it’s federated.

That also it’s biggest fuck up point. These arent wholely independent forums.

And if the frediverse has to fully defederate everything to prevent itself from being scrubbed away. It defeats the entire fucking point.

Cause at that point just fucking go back to forums.
