Remember when windows 10 was supposed to be the last version of windows? 🤣

While this is welcome news, I refuse to utilize their service until they stop bringing exclusivity to the PC market. It is asinine on consoles and even more so on PC.

Interesting that they’ve been carrying on about having an “affordable” option with their console that has devalued both offerings, yet they’re going to increase the price of the hardware and games.

I hope so! Back then, they had their collaboration with HTC. Unfortunately, the performance just didn’t justify the cost. I’ve been interested in VR and AR for quite some time, so I look forward to when the tech is both worth the cost and offered by a company I can at least justify giving my money.

Hopefully they sell off quest so we can maybe get a company not so dead set on invading privacy in the VR market. I swore off Facebook in 2007 due to privacy concerns, and it is unfortunate that they purchased Oculus in 2014 and became the leader in the space. This literally happened just as I had come into a position where I actually had disposable income and was interested in VR.

That makes sense. I definitely could see a use case for developers, but I don’t see many average pc users having a need for or even being aware of this service.

I actually just canned windows in the past month. I’m not a developer or “power user,” but I ran back to Linux due to the screen capture and A.I. nonsense that Microsoft has been pursuing recently. I have been very happy with my recent experience on Linux and don’t imagine going back to Windows in any fashion. There have been incredible strides made since I was last on Linux, about 15 years ago.

It makes more sense that it has benefits in that direction than the other way around.

Does this really expand to Windows users? As a non-technical user, this is the first I’ve heard of WSL and I’m sure I’m not alone.

I got this “game” for free back in 2014. I can’t recall the last time I logged into it. There was never anything to do. If they ever release anything they promised, I likely won’t be able to log in anymore 🤣.

Everything about this is repulsive and irresponsible.

This seems to be the trend. Create an infinite money glitch live service game and milk it into retirement. Don’t bother making another game, just slap 2 at the end and replace the “old” game that’s the same as the new game.

Yes, “gamers” are a collection of toxic mudbutt degenerates. They have gotten so bad that I’m cautious about telling anyone I enjoy video games, as I’d hate to be associated with these hateful clowns.

Don’t upset the gamers! They’ll whine on forums and dox randos that have nothing to do with anything!

There are exceptions, of course, but generally I don’t speak with women regarding my sexual health (or sex in general), most of my mental health, or things specific to men. For the most part, they wouldn’t want to discuss these things with me either or wouldn’t have the experience to relate to it.

There are differences regardless of whether there is romantic potential. I will talk about things with other men that I wouldn’t with women for many reasons. Social relationships are complex and gender does play a role in interactions, even if people aren’t consciously aware of them.

Predictive text algorithms will not wipe out humanity. 🙄
