Lost some. Won some.

Yay! Please stick with this, EU! I hope this spreads globally. 🥂
Yeah, it’s probably those conflicts of interest I had in mind.
I could have sworn at least 3 of the companies he pretends to run were under investigation by different agencies.
I don’t know how true the rumour it is (or how widespread it was if so) but there were some reports recently that the extreme alpha/sigma crowd thought long lashes were too “feminine” and were trimming or shaving them to look more “manly.” April Fool’s isn’t for a while yet so I’m not sure what that was all about.
You don’t even have to shave your eyelashes!
Jesus and Early Christianity did have important roles for women actually. If I’m not mistaken, it was when the canon was decided on and authority of the church was institutionalized that they would have snuffed that out.
Seems what he did was join four different churches in succession according to his Wikipedia page. The last one people are now talking about (Anglican Catholic Church) was based in the US.
Interesting. I only heard about him yesterday so I was going off reports I came across, all of which seem to treat him as having been an Anglican priest and one of which added he almost wasn’t ordained, but later was. Are you from the area? I know it’s certainly easy for one media outlet to make an error that is then echoed by almost every other one.
I saw the video of this a little earlier. He smirked with the “My heart goes out to you” part. 🤢
I heard he almost wasn’t confirmed in the church in the first place, but I didn’t know about the gaming website editorial staff resigning. Wow.
I came to comments to find out what “gills” kicking in meant. 😂
(Now Kerry Ann’s comment makes sense but the original still doesn’t.)
Not not the Onion… (surreal!)
On a more serious note, that’s disappointing.
The two matters aren’t mutually exclusive and ultimately their motives don’t matter as much as the effect. Getting riled up and indignant about some people’s racism is useless and even counterproductive-- especially compared to focusing on the source.
Racism being systemic means there are barriers to overcome at every income level. Everyone has already bought into it at varying levels, so you can’t just go “See, look, they’re racist!” Outside of a few like-minded people, the typical response would range from shoulder shrugs to annoyance at best. Many will even perceive the accuser as acting superior.
If we’re talking about racism on a systemic level, exposing that there IS someone who benefits is necessary to get people invested in societal healing. Most people are constantly tired and from their perspective, don’t have the energy to care about what they perceive as other people’s problems. Make it their problem too, and maybe something will change.
