$40 per YEAR?? What magic gym is this you speak of?
That’s the cheapest gym membership I’ve ever heard of.

Would syncing your backup directory work? Like take snapshots of your system, dump the snapshots all in a single directory, and sync it to an off-site location?
Nah, he’s a duck. Ducks are feathered bags of pure rage.
But he’s handsome and talented, so it’s all good.
That there is Nigel. He turned 5 this April.
yeah, it’s .storage/
There’s a bunch of stuff in there for sure, but nothing related to any of the add-ons. Some HACS stuff, some lovelace.config, but not a damn thing related to any of the containerized add ons.
Just grab some prebuilt .config files. I just switched from maintaining my own “custom” set to the endeavorOS community repo for sway, and it’s seriously amazing. Not too much, but has everything I need working right out the box.
Neat! I’ll hop on and check it out this weekend.
I didn’t know there was a lemmy server. How do I join it?
Thanks man, I’ll pencil in a spot this weekend to give it another go. I’ll hit you up next week if I can’t figure it out. Thanks a lot. I love lemmy for this.
I guess so… it’s been a while since I tried it to be honest. I ended up just opting for an additional NUC to use as my media playing PC, but if I could combine that with my “server” NUC, it would give me more a reason to buy new, more powerful hardware 😈
Hmmm… I’ll have to try again. I don’t have a windows VM, so I’ve just been trying to pass through my MX Linux VM that I use for watching media. I’m not worried about the GPU, so as long as I can send the desktop to my display via HDMI, I’ll be happy as a clam.
Regarding your “desktop” setup. I tried to do this, and have one of my Cams inside proxmox pass the gui out via HDMI to my monitor, and I could not for the life of me get it to work. All the googling at that time said it doesn’t work, but might in the future. Are we in the future?
I’ve never heard of someone doing something like this before, but it sounds like it could have some pretty cool downstream applications (thinking Bluetooth speakers)
With your setup would it be possible to pair your headphones to your phone (iPhone in my case) and be able to pass audio from different computers to a central one that my phone could then relay to my headphones?
I often walk around my house/yard while listening to something playing on my laptop/desktop. And if I get too far from the source, it breaks the Bluetooth connection. So I usually end up having to drag my laptop around the yard with me. A much nicer solution would be to have my phone on my person, and use the wifi to keep connected to my “audio source” without needing proximity to the actual pc playing the sound.
Damn. That’s the dream.
