I do similar, but with an email alias instead. I sign up with storename@my.domain and it all just routes to my main inbox. This way, I know if an email comes in that I never asked for, I can see what company sold my information and stop using them.

Hah, even that context wasn’t enough for me. At first, I was thinking of a project management board like kanban, saw your comment and was confused, apparently its for baking? Nope, wrong kind of “bread” board lol.
You were just the last rude commenter I saw before commenting myself. He is asking for help, and instead of continuing to help or moving on, people are rude or are attacking him. I feel that isn’t ok.
We can agree to disagree about who’s out of line.
1 ask question
2 get answers you believe wont work
3 people become rude assholes instead of explain why it will
Yup, no problems here…
Oooor people could stop being rude when he clearly doesn’t know if you can install an rpm from 9 on 10. All I have seen are people saying “do this”, and when he says he can’t, people complain instead of elaborating. If you dont want to help, dont. There is no need for everyone to gang up on him…
Distro issue.
Fixed it.
Ubuntu is the only one that works well for me ¯\(ツ)/¯
Same here. The place I currently live gets so hot that my utility bills are cheaper in the winter due to the use of so much AC in the summer. In the winter, I can just have windows open, and it’s wonderful
Yup, much higher than 550w. Mine will often settle down to 650 or 700 after getting the room to temperature, but on particularly hot days and when they are just turned on and trying to get the room to the set temperature, they can easily take 1200w. I have never had an issue with any smart outlet I have bought in the past with that either.
I can understand the company not wanting that liability though. A blanket statement is easier than making customers calculate wattage or manage how many high load devices they might have on a power strip with the AC.
I have never heard of not getting holidays for the first year. Not sure they could even legally do that 🤔
Huh, hadnt heard about that. I have been using my third reality energy monitoring smart plugs on two Air Conditioners for over two years lol
One of the first things I had to disable when I switched to linux lol Middle click has so many other uses in windows that made it sooo jarring. Ctrl c and crtl v are good enough for me. (Or shift in terminals)
Kavita has OPDS support, so if you need a selfhosted OPDS server to test with, that would be a good option. Would be great if the app worked well with Kavita in general too, it has a good API you could work with.
Yeah, you are 100% right. Not only is it not bad in any way, but it is how nearly every single company with internal resources works… It is incredibly common.
This is what fixed my ubuntu audio stuttering too
Ah, the home version is so limited that I basically just didn’t even consider it an option. I guess if someone buys that version, then yeah thats not an option.
Never understood why that batch script even became popular… its so much easier to just choose install for an organization, then just never domain join it. Makes a local account, and is much easier
Yeeeah, gonna have to disagree with that. Having dead simple access to your library on any device is amazing. ABS syncs your listening position between devices, has offline downloading, supports rich metadata, collections, customized sleep timers, and quite a bit more.
The sarcasm seems pretty clear to me lol
Still would only be 100% profit. Costed nothing to get them, so when you sell them, they will be 100% profit.
