On a LAN you could use multicast, but I don’t think ISPs support multicast, it seems like it would be an easy way to DoS. But I honestly don’t know.
So, if you can’t multicast, the way to have serverless multi-user video calls would be to have a separate video feed for each receiver, which I can see using more resources than through a server that would replicate the stream to all the receivers. Of course this is dependant on distance, even without multicast it consumes more resources if everyone is in the same LAN.

There’s 2 secrets here: the link and the password. And to share it with someone you need to share 2 secrets: the locked link and the password.
Why not use the same method you used to share the password to share the link instead? Without the need for this service.

Energy consumption limit. Every AI product has a consumption limit of X GJ. After that, the server just shuts off.
The limit should be high enough to not discourage research that would make generative AI more energy efficient, but it should be low enough that commercial users would be paying a heavy price for their waste of energy usage.
Additionally, data usage consent for generative AI should be opt-in. Not opt-out.

The world is more than black or white. GitHub rate-limiting non-logged-in users makes sense, and is the expected result in the age of web scrapping LLM training.
Yes, the parent company of GitHub also does web scrapped for the purpose of training LLMs. I don’t see what that has to do with defending themselves from other scrappers.
It’s not the same making API costs unbearable for a social media user and limiting the rate non-logged-in users.
You can still use GitHub without being logged in. You can still use GitHub without almost any limit on a free account.
You cannot even use reddit on a third party app with an account with reddit gold.
Or we just realize that GitHub without logging in is a service we are getting for free. And when there’s something free, there’s someone trying to exploit it. Using GitHub while logged in is also free and has none of these limits, while allowing them to much easier block exploiters.

There is no chance you can make a consumer-facing product using imgui. The closest to that I’ve seen is imhex, which admittedly is way better looking than I thought was possible with imgui. But it is a tool for mainly developers, not a consumer-facing product.
The problem might be the arc mutex. mpsc are already clone, send and sync. When you clone an arc mutex T, you are cloning the arc. But mpsc probably needs to be cloned itself to work properly.
It may be true that there’s no better one. Which doesn’t mean that it’s good.
I have tried both clion and VSCode. I can’t think of many more IDEs other than Visual Studio (which I haven’t tried). I don’t think there’s many other options.
Clion is much faster than VSCode’s C/C++ extension. For example go to definition is instant while VSCode can take 10+ seconds each time, and it doesn’t cache results. However, that’s the only good thing I can say about Clion.
At work I use VSCode. Why? Because it works. CLion worked for like 6 months, and then it just refused to lead the cmake project, becoming absolutely useless.
Not that it was much good to begin with, but enshittification is coming
