I lived in a 3 bedroom house with 3 other people. No room was available and not many would have been big enough anyway. I need at least 2m squared
You need the room for the equipment. I had to go to gyms when my rental was too small.
I work out at home and watch movies that usually have some fit people in them, which removes the need for real humans in the room.
Add to this that your preference may change as your life does. Lifestage makes a big difference.
Meal planning is number 1.
Being strict with what you buy then so you don’t buy something you have no plan for.
Learn a couple of meals that you can throw anything into so you can use up veg that are just about to go off. Eg ratatouille, stew, curry, etc.

In Ireland and the UK it’s very common to hang all laundry to dry, and a utility room is a luxury. We just do a load every couple of days and open windows to deal with the humidity. Kids, apartments, whatever.
UK and Ireland mothers, you’re really late, try again next year.
Looks like everyone has ignored that you’re talking about the expression not the act. I also hate take it offline, I’ll just say… this sounds like a separate meeting.
Ireland
That’s mostly accurate, though my GP always has appointments within 48h or on the day for urgent ones. Plus there’s the out of hours doc where you will talk to someone and probably see someone that day/night.
