Capcom decided it was appropriate for them to add intrusice DRM into their games AFTER people already bought it.
Capcom can go eat everyone’s collective ass; they don’t deserve business
KIA?
The competitive landscape has not improved one bit.
Except it is when you consider price/performance for the range of cards most people buy.
XX60 and XX70 class cards are where most sales are, and that’s where all 3 companies have something to offer
The main issue is that the average consumer is dumb and keeps buying Nvidia, even though both AMD and Intel have better price/performance and often just more performant in that class due to Nvidia cheaping out on vram. Consumers are treating Nvidia cards as a luxury brand, like iPhones
Don’t forget the part where the publisher withheld the devs’ compensation for console sales
This is the most softball-assed “interview” I’ve ever seen. PC Gamer is full of clowns
Good luck hunting down every last book that people mighr have. Especially when The Bible falls under the purview
Fair.
I think I was able to deep dive into the series’ lore because I started with Halo 3, and because I was a teenager at the time. I eventually went back to play CE and 2 and they… are certainly products of their time
Pretty much. They need a different genre name, like “masochist” or “try-hard”. A lot of these games are significantly more punishing than the original Dark Souls ever was
the conclusion that the game wasn’t respecting my time
That’s exactly why I quit too. You’re smarter than me, since I spent over 30 hours on it before quitting.
Hollow Knight.
There’s a couple of things the devs could have done to make things way more tolerable, like not putting the fucking shades in the middle of platforming challenges and giving health bars to bosses so you can tell when you should go somewhere else instead of face-tanking them for 3 hours.
But god forbid anyone says anything even remotely disparaging against the game, as they’re quickly mobbed by fanboys and told to “git gud” because they treat masochistic games like HK as some perverse dick-measuring contest.
And unfortunately I can’t away from hearing about it with everyone sperging out over the upcoming sequel.
Agreed. I got about halfway through the first one before I quit
How deep and interesting the lore is.
Could the people telling you that have possibly been talking about the books? There’s >20 books telling various storylines from the franchise and they go way deeper than the games.
I will agree that the games are pretty sparse for storytelling. They tend to go more “show, don’t tell”. The problem with that is that the lore of Halo needs to be told and can’t really be shown
Please be joking…
Or a home theater PC, which I am down for
True, but getting a dash-mounted phone holder isn’t that different
Mine is a more normie choice, but I’d have to say Chained Echoes.
It’s a JRPG made by one guy in Germany. Lasts 40-60 hours and manages to integrate both on-foot and flying mech mechanics together in a way that works. Plus, there’s several encounters throughout the story that are unique and interesting, and the story tends to subvert a lot of expected norms in the genre.
The downsode is there’s plenty of spots where the quality drops. There’s a couple of scenes with bad and nonsense writing, a couple of poorly thought out encounters, and and obsession for dangling post-game content in front of your nose throughout the story when there’s no need to make it post-game. Mainly, Mattias Linda really needed an editor to tell him “no” on some spots. As it is, I’d give it a 3.5-4 out of 5. If he had someone for proofreading and QA it’d probably be a solid 4.5/5.
I can teach you how to swing a sword
Tbh, I think GATTACA barely touched the topic. It focussed so much on the brothers’ rivalry that you could strip out the genetic engineering part and it’d barely change the movie
