Or split the difference and just kill neelix.
some of his promotions may have been simply *you’ve been an ensign for 4 years, so you kinda have to get promoted now.
Because they’re teens
Trump is a bigger gun grabber than any recent dem president. He banned bump stocks via executive order after the Vegas shooting, illegally it turns out, as courts later reversed the ban.
Have you tried it under windows? If you have the same symptoms with 2 different distros I’d be considering a hardware problem, trying it in windows would eliminate or confirm that possibility.
VMs aren’t emulation. Its a full OS running on virtual hardware. Also, yes, azure offers several distros, not just Microsoft’s.
The OS of the bare metal host shouldn’t matter much, if at all, to the guest. If you have a philosophical issue with the hypervisor running under windows I doubt you’d be using azure to begin with.
Its not emulation, it’s a Microsoft distro
Already exists as a VM option on azure
Elitism and gatekeeping.
A lot of our residential infrastructure is underground, because of the weather we have.
I get that. A lot of ours is too. But I live an hour from the area I’m talking about, the weather isn’t that different, and I still see wire poles up there waiting to be taken down by a tree branch in the next ice storm. CTs trees tend to be pruned so they don’t overhang the roads at all. Its the most jarring difference driving from, for example, Sherman CT to Pawling NY.
Heading west out of Connecticut into New York the most obvious difference is they don’t trim tree branches over the road/power lines. It suddenly feels like you’re driving through a tunnel of green. Its actually quite nice but those parts of nys must have a lot of outages after storms.
He legalized weed at least
Sounds more like a hardware problem. Pull them out and reseat them.
it’s my time I’m spending on it.
You are being paid for that time. If you sell something it is no longer yours.
That is not the behavior described by the article. This is about SSDs disconnecting from the OS when performing large copies/moves
So much horrible advice in this thread.
The machine the company issues you isn’t yours, it’s theirs. Wiping out their image and installing another OS is a fantastic way to get fired. If you handle any PII, HIPAA, or PCI data it’s also a fantastic way to get sued or charged with a crime.
I hear the unemployment line is nice this time of year
I started unplugging the Ethernet cable when I leave for work so IT can’t do any behind the scenes when I’m away.
Speaking as an IT guy, don’t do this. Its not your computer, and it’s our job to manage it. If you don’t like the company’s policies go work somewhere else. This is how you get my boss to call your boss into a meeting.
He’s rich and famous though
