So nobody is going to talk about how he said “without the intent to fertilize an embryo” and not “fertilize an egg”? You can’t fertilize an embryo lmao
This is a stunt bill designed to draw attention to how anti-woman most anti-abortion laws are
It shall be unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material
Genetic Material is DNA. Dry skin falling off is technically discharging genetic material. As is bleeding…
Technically a woman would be grossly violating this with every period… or by giving birth.
In a statement to WLBT News, Blackmon wrote, “All across the country, especially here in Mississippi, the vast majority of bills relating to contraception and/or abortion focus on the woman’s role when men are fifty percent of the equation.
This bill highlights that fact and brings the man’s role into the conversation. People can get up in arms and call it absurd but I can’t say that bothers me.”
Did you miss this?
In this thread:
A lot of men who didn’t read the article and didn’t got the satirical part of the act.
And given the last political polemic, I’m pretty sure these “men” are misrepresenting the article on purpose.
That’s satirical, right?
Right?
Yes, it’s proposed to show how dumb the “life begins at conception idea” is. Blackmon doesn’t actually want this to pass
yes, it is intended to highlight how anti-woman mst anti-abortion laws are
Read the article.

☹️
Try reading the article. You might feel differently
Contraception begins in the hand
People can get up in arms and call it absurd but I can’t say that bothers me.
Then you have the wrong job as a representative.
10k just be be able to jerk it 3 times? This guy is a loser. I’ll jerk it all day for free. He can’t charge me a fee

Banning masturbation will not stop abortion lol
It’s a stunt to highlight how we only discuss the woman’s role in abortion and how most anti-abortion laws are anti-woman. Was this not clear? Im asking this seriously because so many seem to be missing this here.
It’s not clear at all, no.
Is this proposal patently ridiculous? Yes. Do I believe there’s at least one legislator in Mississippi who unironically believes in this bill exactly as written, and is playing this completely straight? Considering all that’s happened so far, why not?
Satire doesn’t work when the obvious hyperbolic nonsense is within actual expected behavior of the satirized.
I won’t claim one way or the other that this is or is not satire. I don’t know who this legislator is and I don’t really care. But no, with the whole article you’re pasting everywhere in this thread as my only context clue, I certainly didn’t find enough evidence to be convinced he doesn’t actually believe this.
Try reading the article then as I only posted the really obvious bit
It’s clear it’s just stupid
I believe this makes it a woman’s duty to take all erections up the right hole.
(4) This section shall not apply to the discharge of genetic material: … ( b ) Discharged with the use of a contraceptive or contraceptive method intended to prevent fertilization of an embryo.
So basically it’s illegal to do so without the intent to fertilize an embryo… unless doing it as part of a contraceptive method? Isn’t abstinence - e.g. not having sex - a legitimate method?.. wouldn’t masturbation be a way to manage abstinence?
Did you read the article? The guy is doing this to highlight the fact that the woman’s role in abortion is always focused on
(a) Donated or sold to a facility for the purpose of future procedures to fertilize an embryo;
This means it’s legal to pull out and fill a jar to donate to such a facility.
Always has been
Whether they accept donations from the bank of Cream and Loan is another story though.
I kept looking for the Onion link and never found it.
You should read the actual article then as you will be surprised to discover what this guy’s actual goals are.
I did read the article. While I understand he’s trying to even out the responsibility for pregnancy, I’m at a loss to understand how this will legitimately help in any way.
It’s a stunt. How did you miss that? It’s fairly obvious
So what is this? Some kind of anti masturbation law?

The article is very short.
Short article, yet you failed to include the third that makes it illegal to jerk it:
“As written by Sen. Bradford Blackmon, the bill would make it “unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo.””
Because it’s SATIRE!!
If anyone is unsure-- look the senator up, he’s a Democrat.
That’s because thos is ax stunt to highlight how often antiabortion laws are antiwoman
My article is 12 inches and very girthy actually, thank you! There used to be a surgeon in California to help you all with short articles. Sadly, you know, the fires…
Controlling how adult people practice sex now, eh. Boy, I sure hope all these Trump voters are very happy now.
It took me less time to find out what this was about than to make this response.
Careful, stroking your ego like that puts you at risk of violating this law.
O… kay. Was I correct? I tried interpreting the rules listed in the link and drew a conclusion about what they’re trying to achieve. 🤷♂️ Thanks for trying to help, good buddy.
If you’re not interested enough to read why bother asking
I tried interpreting the rules listed in the link and drew a conclusion
This is what I said. Did you read that part? I did read it, I’m just not certain what the real agenda is behind this ridiculous nonsense.
You’ve made two replies now wasting your energy by being rude instead of helping. Is this how you treat people you meet in person as well? Sheesh, bro.
Also your question makes no sense. I’m “not interested” yet I’m still asking? Who would ask if they’re not interested? That makes no sense. Just like someone replying with rude shit instead of helping. That also makes zero sense.
Yeah, that’s what it looks like. Yeesh.
Absolutely ridiculous, is what it is. Everybody does it.
Makes sense. They’re all a bunch of dicks.
If the Democrats aren’t going to be useful, I’m glad they’ve at least decided to be a little funny.
It’s a race to the bottom now. And the Republicans have a huge head start. Dems are nosediving to catch up.
I didn’t see the party of the politician in the article, so no idea if it is written in jest or just regular old Republican whackiness.
The most entertaining part is that it is written as applying to men, but as written it is gender neutral and would penalize menstruation.
Edit: It is a Dem having a lark.
i’m afraid that the fascists would take the bill up and actually vote to ban masturbation. especially the bible thumpers.
You can vote against a bill you introduce. Look at Moscow Mitch.
