The people laid off in 2023 (no less than 16% of the company’s headcount) might have opinions upon hearing that.

They sacked them to make the shareholders more money, that’s how it works. And if the shareholders profits are looking a little skint they’ll just sack people until the margins look right.

Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft are fine tho.

Sony: Uses unreal Engine in games like Days Gone.

Nintendo: Uses Unreal Engine in games like Yoshi’s Crafted World.

Microsoft: Uses Unreal Engine in games like Gears of War and even killed the whole Halo engine to switch over to UE.

So OF COURSE those are the good guys.

All true, but too many people tend to forget that the very first game in the world of console generation to have online cross play was Fortnite for Sony’s Playstation and Microsoft’s Xbox.

Also, Sony and Microsoft held back PUBG crossplay in the very momentum in which battle royale was exploding (ignited by PUBG itself)

His actions are his personal battle not the best value for shareholders, how does he get away with not being sacked for failing to uphold his fiduciary duty?

He has no moral high ground to stand on either, his whole company is based off of exploiting children.
