My settings for default sort, appearance, favorites, etc. have reset twice this month, which I can’t remember happening ever before. Is the problem on my end, or have there been app updates that required it?
I’ve found the backup/restore button now, so I can hopefully recover it next time.
If this happened to me, I didn’t notice, but it’s an easy thing to test. Are you on Android or iOS?

Sorry, I’m on iOS, so the way settings are stored may be very different.
The only time I’ve had this is back when I thought the settings in the kebab menu (top right) controlled everything, until I realised the preferences in Settings > General are for that.

I all of a sudden have downvote buttons that are useless to me, was that bc of a settings reset? I can’t find the dang setting again!
There’s a setting to view votes as total/combined or separate. I usually have it display separately and had to toggle that back as well.
(Edit: wait, is blahaj one of those instances that has downvotes turned off?)

Yeah, because people downvote trans folks a lot as a form of transphobia.
Oh I see what you mean now. I figured it defaults to combined (at least on android), but if for some reason it’s showing you a downvote button, you can tell it to go away.
Wait how do you tell it to go away? >~<

Oh wait, for some reason I was picturing the votes on the post, not the buttons TO vote on a post. I think I need sleep.
