Google does try to feed me news from “The Times of Israel”, quite often, which is really odd. Usually I only get shown valid local news, occasionally stuff from America too.

And… The Times of Israel, I guess?

The corporate algorithms are not on the side of the Palestinians.

Did anyone see the Israeli propaganda videos about Iran. It was so disgustingly offensive because it was in between videos and couldn’t be skipped. Fuck Google.

I don’t think it worked. I think most people know how it is quite with the genocidal state of israel.

I think it did, if it didn’t work, then street and TV ads wouldn’t go much further than the stage described in one Colombo episode.

It works as well as the funding growth shows. One would think all of the Web and of TV and radio are full of ads, but the funding grows even more. This means ads work and humans obey.

I think a lot of people specifically avoid reading news about it. They do not notice in their scrolling when google tucks an ad in there, though.

Keep in mind this is an extremely shit source, they are basically a lite version of tankies.

Try searching for “Russia” on their site and you’ll find a 1:1 copy of standard russian propaganda copytext (justification for the invasion of Ukraine, claiming Ukraine organized a genocide in Donbas, white washing russian crimes).

If they can’t be consistent, it is likely their concern Gaza about is a ruse, as is extremely common among western “leftists”.

And the roaches that manage this site likely don’t speak Ukrainian or russian and have never lived in Ukraine or russia.

Not really, no. If it was about how media platforms in general are used for propaganda then maybe it would be.

My point is that, regardless of any personal opinions on the matter, it is a strange post for a place called “Technology”, as it is definitely a “Politics” post.

without the technology involved though (from a Big Tech company), the reach of the propaganda would be much lower.

Why would propaganda to convince people that a genocide is acceptable be considered just politics? Shit like this falls into many buckets because it’s important to spread awareness across as many communities as possible. Who knows, if hundreds of millions more people knew what the nazis were doing in the 30s, maybe it would’ve been stopped earlier
