Windows is better… oh, really? Linux is like a breath of fresh air for me, and in two years of using it, I have never noticed or encountered any critical problems or bugs, but when there is a problem, it is usually not so difficult to solve it because there are resources and people who can help.
My only regret is that I didn’t try Linux a few years ago.
Most likely, I’ll lie down and will listen to music/a long YouTube video.
I doubt that you would have had the courage to do that.
It is difficult to write exactly what a person would do in such a case, most people can write one thing, but if this really happened to them, it is highly likely that they would act differently. I don’t see the point of trying to run away or hide the crime, neither morally nor logically, the only good idea is to call the police, in any case, even if you try to hide the murder, murder is a murder, you know, a crime, and secondly, it may come up in the future and you will have bigger problems.
You can even not use DE, some people use only Window Managers (with additional things), or even just terminal.
I’ve also heard that not many people like Ubuntu because of snaps, why is that?
Well, people don’t like snaps for a number of reasons, because they are forced on users, bloated and slow, Canonicals themselves are quite shady, systemd, etc.
I would rather use several different types of packages than trust one that is tied to a shady company.
I don’t know what you mean by “A distro that allows you to easily switch between KDE and GNOME”, because any distro that has both should be able to easily switch between KDE and GNOME. As for user-friendly, something like Ubuntu or Mint, maybe Manjaro and Pop, EndeavourOS if you don’t mind learning and don’t mind using a terminal.
Trine 5 was released in 2023, so if no one remembered this game, there would not have been so many sequels. Trine is a good game, though not a masterpiece.
Nothing? but the very fact that it is open source makes it much easier to detect malware, I guess. But I don’t think that closed source is better in this regard, rather worse, because corporations love spyware.
I’ve been hopping between different distros since 2023, but every time I come back to EndeavourOS, this distro seems to work the best for me, haven’t had any problems with this distro.
I haven’t used windows since 2023, or so, but what’s the problem with using Windows alongside Linux? Sometimes you just need Windows, and Wine isn’t always the answer. Although, I must admit, Linux gaming has reached the point where Windows is needed (probably?) only for games with anti-cheat.
How do people hold hedgehogs? I mean, they’re spiky as heck!
It’s damn bullshit, you write something in Reddit, the stupid system thinks you’re a bot and bans you… good luck appealing this shit, you’ll be sitting there for months begging for a unban. Screw these lazy assholes.
Every time I add a comment or post on reddit, I get banned all the time, I don’t even know why, I tried to appeal the ban, but no one gives a shit. Anyway, I like Lemmy better, it’s faster, lighter, and doesn’t have any dumb karma thing. So I deleted my last Reddit account, told the Reddit administration to go screw themselves, and I have no regrets.
LXQT. Why? Because: It is lightweight, consumes little resources, is quite customizable, and has full Ukrainian localization.
Maybe I’ll switch to XFCE/MATE, but not if there are a lot of things not translated, or if the translation is worse than even Google Translate.
Literally why?
Because MIT?
