I have never played this game and don’t even really know what it is, but wouldn’t the obvious solution be to have the abandoned bases get eaten by sandworms?

Evey time I can remember having to use that lever it was because of some fuck driving with their 1.21GW LED high-beams on right behind me, and therefore deserving a 🖕, which can conveniently also be used to toggle the mirror… Two birds with one stone. Either that’s not nearly as universal an experience as I’d hoped or all the Lemmy users who like to drive with their brights got triggered being called out- either way my post does not meet the high editorial standards of the showerthoughts community, so deleting it.
