And yet developers prioritize to build premium condos as their profit margins are greater. Same with cars. There are hardly any compact and affordable cars anymore.

This is another reason why self hosting matters even more nowadays with companies’ enshittification efforts.
Elasticsearch should work too
Yes, I have never played it and I played RDR II which I really liked. I think I might give it a go and refund it if it is not my cup of tea. What I really enjoyed in the second part was the story.
I can refund it on Steam too.
The funny part is that nowadays there are companies that interview you with an AI interviewer and are telling you not to use AI. They are asking you to install some software and switch on your camera. While talking to an AI agent. Truly dystopian. Everything 5070Ti is a really bad deal. And the prices of the whole stack is outrageous, not to mention the rift between 5080 and 5090. Planned obsolescence by NVIDIA.
Do you have a GitHub repo? As I am building my system like this and was thinking of exactly using Podman and quadlets.
Defending human rights and condemning war crimes is now punishable.
I have a physical CD of Ubuntu 6.10, back then they were distributing those over the mail and a friend of mine ordered some and gave me. I still keep it.

Actually ESP32-S3 will be even cheaper than this one. They sell for around 5-6 $ but they are very limited in what they can do.
Raspberry Pi Zero second hand. Probably you can score something for less than 10 bucks.
And still their market capitalisation is probably higher than the biggest ten automotive manufacturers combined.
The sad thing is that even if he gives away 99% of his wealth he will still be obscenely rich. Multitudes richer than the average man.
Same with 5060Ti 8Gb. We have an extreme greediness and planned obsolescence in full force on display here.
Even more considering how much crippled and dead on arrival this card is. I would be seriously surprised if it is even faster than a 4060 Ti. And this VRAM configuration is just pathetic
Hate to say it, but Docker compose is giving you the best flexibility and portability of your files. Any of those services can decide tomorrow to enshittify their services and you will be left with nothing.
Look at Plex, now they require Plex pass to stream your own content.
Why don’t you do some bash scripting and route files to different buckets depending on their extensions or mime types? You can easily do that with rclone for example.
Here you need to decide if you want to run Plex/Jellyfin on the same server or not. And how important power consumption is for you.
You should also consider if you are planning to run only the NAS or some other VMs/containers on that machine. In that case you might consider 32 Gb of RAM to be more future proof.
