      What I meant is technically, in the time frame of Academy, assuming we can take their word that this is the “normal” Doctor, the VOY:Living Witness Doctor should still be alive as well.

      Depending on how you count it, both will be the same age. It would be incredibly funny if both versions of the Doctor met.

        Alive, sure. However would the Backup EMH be active after that occurred? Supposedly in the 31st century this EMH is long separated from Federation. Maybe they don’t wish to be active without the people they knew? On top of that they are a backup. Does this version survive the events of “Living Witness”? Will it wish to preserve itself in case it can be reunited with Voyager (or somehow returned to 24th century).

        EDIT: We can only assume they got separated and unable to return to Federation due to events of DIS. Before DIS, it would be assumed the Federation was still in a stable state we saw it during 24th century.

          I mean, I’m pretty sure it says at the end of the episode the Doctor decided to try and find what ended up happening to Voyager after he set the record straight.
