    (Seriously tho, I already sus 50% of Lemmy users too, a lot of front page posts have the weird “mainstream social media uncanny feel” to it, at this point I treat the social-media/forums as entertainment, I don’t really take it too seriously. If I didn’t witness it myself, it can be potentially fake. That’s how I operate in this world)

      Larger instances control what most people see on all. You might want to look for communities and then look at your subscribed more often. Also, if you’re not already, change from hot, to active, to 6 hours and scaled to see other things.

    The only real way to escape corporate enshittification and bots is to just pick up and move whenever marketing ghouls start to show up. Im quite happy with lemmy and the fediverse right now, but Im under no illusion this place will last more than like 3 years tops before its time to move on to the next platform with a user base small enough that its not worth astroturfing with ads and corpo propaganda

    This is very true BoredGamer! It is truly wonderful that us real and normal humans are able to exist on this platform and communicate with other real and natural humans, as I also definitely one. Let us go and mash nutrient rich together with our exposed skeletons and answer each others prompts about 10th grade chemistry.
