안녕하세요!
From what I understand, xorg has fundamental security flaws. How will they remedy this?
They won’t. Don’t download random shit and if you’re worried, run it in Flatpak
What happens when the Linux kernel drops support for xorg? Do they intend to fork an older version of the kernel in order to keep support?
Not really possible, since X11 is only built on top of the kernel’s graphical interface (same as Wayland). Even if that wasn’t the case, the kernel doesn’t delete any code that anybody uses (that’s why 30 year old programs still run)

For the sake of all of our sanity, I’d really appreciate if FESCo could decide on this one really quickly (e.g. putting out a statement) and avoid what could be a most unpleasant flame-fest on this mailing list.
Am I the only one who thinks police should be held to a higher standard of accountabilities?
Weird goalpost but Ok
First it was the beans. Then it was the guy who couldn’t poop. Now it’s moths. What don’t you understand?
The US is really good at bringing back jobs
How did you document this so quickly?
Hey I don’t mean to ruin your day, but maybe you should Google what you just commented…
What happens if you ask ChatGPT to code you a chess AI though?
Kk I actually read your post. Yea that’s pretty heartbreaking. Ignore what the other guy said about finding a rebound.
As a guy in a long distance relationship, I understand what your ex means by saying he wished that he treated you better. I always feel that way when we’re apart - and I feel like I do better each time we get back together - but you feel that way when you miss someone, not when you already have them there. This is likely why he didn’t try harder during the relationship.
I stand by my previous advice to get a new hobby. Go running. Pick up rock climbing. Meet new people - this is a new chapter for you, and you have plenty of opportunity to learn. Put yourself out there and distract yourself, otherwise the thoughts will consume you in waves.
Many of us are commenting from experience. Breakups happen. But they give opportunity to grow in a way that you haven’t grown before. You have newfound time to be alone - time previously spent with him. Do something with it.
Ayy so I got a game in 20 sec and can’t read all that but I promise you, you will heal with time. You will move on. But do something productive in the meantime. Become a better person - hit the gym, study for your next job hop, go for a hike, start a new hobby and meet friends - by being better, you’ll have a chance to slowly get better.
I’ll read your post after but you need to preoccupy your mins with other things.
We’ve seen China give companies to the state, but have there been any large examples of giving companies to the workers?
Help I use Debian on the desktop and don’t understand the implications

I have access to ~20Gb/s worth of extra bandwidth. Is there any way I can “donate” it to different Peertube instances? Right now I just use it to seed things and run XMR/I2P nodes
It took me 600 applications to get my first job. Now I work at $FAANG. Your full-time job, until you get a job, is applying to everything
