Sync is dumb. Switch to Thunder.

Ironically the spoiler is broken in Thunder, too, because they did it wrong. It has to start on a line all by itself. They instead put it on the same line as “tl;Dr”. But at least Thunder shows it as plain text.

What could possibly be the differentiating factor between when it works and when it doesn’t? This is a text only kind of issue and this is the first time I’ve ever seen it happen.
I’m not a super frequent visitor to spoiler’d content, but I’ve seen it often enough to know it normally works.
I’m not sure. Sync doesn’t actually properly support the spoiler formatting Lemmy uses but it was close enough to partially work (wouldn’t show spoiler context however.

With how close the announcement seems to be, unless the Switch 2 is a WiiU style failure, the Switch may well never overtake the PS2 globally.
Ig it depends on how close Switch 2 is to the original switch and if Nintendo decides to group them together in their reporting numbers like they do for the DS all the way up until the 3DS.
I think if there are no “Switch 2 cartridges” and it’s all just Switch Cartridges, with just Cartridges that need a Switch 2 to “unlock full performance” it’ll probably be grouped the same. That’s how it was with the DS, all DSs could play all DS cartridges with just limited performance or missing features (e.g. a DSi “enhanced” game would work for the most part on a DS Lite). Up until the 3DS, at that point the cartridge format changed and only the 3DS could play 3DS carts and thus Nintendo breaks it away into its own sales numbers

That’s what I meant by “WiiU style failure”. If the Switch 2 doesn’t really seem like a worthwhile upgrade, people may keep on buying Switches. My Switch just broke, so I’m hoping it’s not a dud.
I hope they don’t because I refuse to acknowledge anything dethroning the PS2 for global sales.

Also, you’re supposed to change the second “Spoiler” word to some plain text that explains what the spoiler is. Like this:
